By Jerry VanOster · Oct 14, 2026

007 First Light finally has a Switch 2 release date. IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios confirmed on October 14 that the game launches on Switch 2 on March 18, 2027, and released a new gameplay trailer of the game running on the system. GoNintendo notes the Switch 2 version has been delayed more than once before getting this date.

Preorders are open now on the Nintendo Store, Amazon.com and other retailers. The Deluxe Edition is $69.99 and includes early access to the GoldenEye Suit at launch, the Gleaming Lighter, Earphones, Dart Gun and Pen gadgets, and four extra outfits. A Special Edition with the Classic Tuxedo is exclusive to Amazon.com.

IO Interactive says it brought hands-on Switch 2 builds to gamescom and Tokyo Game Show, and that the team will spend the coming months refining the game's optimization and performance on Switch 2 before launch.

The game is a new origin story that follows a young James Bond as a recruit in MI6's revived Double 0 program. It's already out on other platforms.
