Quick answer: Acer confirmed the Predator Atlas 8 with Intel's Arc G3 Extreme launches exclusively at Best Buy on November 1 for $1,299.99 after preorders sold out. That's $500 less than MSI's Claw 8 EX AI+ and below the OneXPlayer 3's $1,549 sale price.

Acer has put a firm date on the Predator Atlas 8's US launch. In an email reported by HotHardware, Acer confirmed the handheld launches exclusively at Best Buy on November 1, 2026, for $1,299.99. The Verge says it's the first of Acer's handhelds to get an official US launch.
Best Buy's preorders went live last week and have already sold out, according to Acer. The Verge reports that Acer said online orders will open again on November 1, along with in-store availability. We covered the Best Buy listing when orders first opened on October 23.

For now Best Buy carries only one model: the Intel Arc G3 Extreme version with Arc B390 graphics (12 Xe3 cores), 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It has an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS screen at 120Hz with VRR and up to 500 nits, an 80Wh battery, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 and Windows 11 Home. HotHardware notes Acer's product page lists up to 32GB of memory and up to 1TB of storage, and a standard Arc G3 model was also announced in May.
On price, HotHardware calls it the least expensive Arc G3 Extreme handheld it could find. MSI's Claw 8 EX AI+ uses the same chip with 32GB of memory and a 1TB SSD, and costs $1,799 at MSI's US store, or $1,799.99 at Best Buy. That's about $500 more, for 8GB more memory and twice the storage. The OneXPlayer 3 with the same 24GB and 512GB is on sale for $1,549 at OneXPlayer's store, down from $1,699. The Atlas 8 also matches the ROG Xbox Ally X20's price.
