AYN has posted a trailer for the Odin 3 Portal on YouTube, and it finally gives us some core specs for the bigger follow-up to the Odin 2 Portal. The chip is Qualcomm's Dragonwing Q8, the same one in the Odin 3, which Android Authority describes as effectively a Snapdragon 8 Elite without the cellular modem.

The battery is 9,000mAh. That's 1,000mAh more than both the Odin 3 and the Odin 2 Portal, and the Portal also has a larger screen than the Odin 3 to power. AYN pairs the chip with active cooling and a fan it says runs quietly. Notebookcheck puts the weight at around 450 grams, compared with 390 grams for the smaller Odin 3.

On the controls side, AYN confirmed full-size Hall Effect analog sticks, analog triggers and rear paddle buttons, and it uses anti-fingerprint AG glass.
There's still no word on price, preorders or a launch date. Android Authority's own guess is that it could cost at least $50 to $100 more than the $369 Odin 3, blaming higher RAM and component costs, but that's an estimate, not anything AYN has said.
My take: For me the battery is the headline here, since a bigger screen with the same Elite-class chip needs every bit of that extra capacity. Price will decide where this lands. If it ends up anywhere near Android Authority's guess, it would still sit in that $300 to $600 mainstream range, but I'd wait for AYN's real pricing before getting too excited.
