CD Projekt Red released Cyberpunk 2077's free Edgerunners 2 Update (2.5) on October 22 for PC and Mac (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version get it "in the days to follow." It's free for anyone who owns the base game, Phantom Liberty isn't required, and existing saves carry over.

The biggest change for Switch 2 players is cross-platform mod support through mod.io. You can browse and install a selection of player-created mods right from the in-game menu on PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, and CDPR says more mods will be added over time. Modded saves get their own icon, and on consoles you can't earn achievements or trophies while playing from a modded save. Consoles also get an FOV slider, and the update fixes a Switch 2 bug where saving could fail with an "insufficient space" error.
On the tech side, CDPR says HDR rendering is improved for more accurate colors, brightness and contrast on compatible displays. PC gets DLSS 4.5 support with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the 2nd generation Transformer model. AMD's options change too: FSR 3 upscaling is gone, while FSR 2.1, FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation stay, and there's a new FSR Anti-Lag 2 toggle. The patch notes don't call out Steam Deck specifically.
New content includes Clampdown, a side quest set before Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, a five-piece gear set based on King, and the HKGN 102.0 FM radio station. The Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree lets you dual-wield pistols and revolvers, five Glamdoc shops let you restyle hand cyberware, and saves are now grouped by playthrough.
