Quick answer: MSI confirmed its Ryzen Z2 Extreme Claw A8 (BZ2EM) will get AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 through a manufacturer graphics driver, aimed at December 2026 after validation. A new driver is out now for rendering fixes but does not enable FSR 4.1 yet.

MSI has confirmed that the Claw A8 handheld will get AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 through a manufacturer-supplied graphics driver. VideoCardz and Overclock3D report MSI is aiming for a December 2026 release, subject to successful validation and stability testing.
The Claw A8 BZ2EM uses AMD's Ryzen Z2 Extreme with Radeon 890M graphics. AMD opened FSR 4.1 support for Ryzen Z2 Extreme and other handheld APUs in October, but Adrenalin drivers do not officially cover these handhelds. ASUS, Lenovo and MSI each validate and ship their own builds, so FSR 4.1 timing differs by device. ASUS already has a preview path for the ROG Xbox Ally X and Ally X20.
Alongside the December target, MSI released AMD graphics driver 32.0.32016.5 for the Claw A8 BZ2EM. That build fixes incorrect shadow rendering, lighting glitches, FSR upscaling artifacts, smoke and particle issues, and black square artifacts. It does not enable FSR 4.1. MSI says the FSR 4.1 driver is still in progress and should ship in December if testing goes well, as an official implementation rather than a modified third-party driver. Install is through MSI Center M or MSI's support site.
