Nintendo's November earnings put Switch 2 at 26.35 million units worldwide as of September 30, 2026. The original Switch sits at 157.20 million. In the July–September quarter, Nintendo sold 2.67 million Switch 2 consoles and 15.04 million Switch 2 games. Across the full April–September half, Switch 2 hardware totaled 6.49 million units.

The launch surge is cooling. Gamereactor, citing a Shacknews calculation from Nintendo's own figures, says Switch 2 hardware sales fell about 37% in the first half versus the same period a year earlier, while software sales rose about 18.8%. Net sales for the half were 966 billion yen, down 12.1% year over year, but operating profit rose 49.1% to 216.5 billion yen as software took a larger share of the mix. The full-year forecast Nintendo set on May 8, 2026 is unchanged.

Mario Kart World remains the top first-party Switch 2 title at 16.48 million. Newer entries include Splatoon Raiders at 2.42 million and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave at 1.34 million. Lifetime Switch 2 software is at 73.21 million units. Nintendo also pointed ahead to holiday software, including the Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 hardware and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake in November.
