Quick answer: Winhanced, a free controller-first launcher for Windows 11 handhelds, released its 1.0 Beta with a new in-game overlay, a one-switch FSR 4.1 option on AMD handhelds, built-in OptiScaler, GeForce NOW, Battle.net installs, cloud saves and more OneXPlayer devices.
Winhanced 1.0 Beta is out as a free download for Windows 11. Winhanced is a controller-first gaming mode that pulls games from Steam, Xbox, Epic, GOG, PlayStation, Battle.net, EA, Ubisoft and more into one library, and on supported handhelds it also handles power, fans, lighting and buttons. The beta runs for 30 days while the team fixes the last bugs.
The biggest addition is a new overlay that opens over any game with the Guide button. It has performance settings like power mode, Dynamic TDP, refresh rate and frame limit, plus music, friends, Discord, game guides and recording. During the beta the overlay is Early Access only, for Patreon supporters and Discord Supporter+ members, and it opens to everyone when the beta ends.

For performance, there's now a switch on AMD handhelds that runs FSR 4.1 in place of FSR 3.1, which Winhanced says also works on Radeon graphics AMD doesn't officially support for FSR 4. OptiScaler is built in too, so more games can use DLSS, FSR or XeSS, and it never touches games with anti-cheat. Neither option works with Xbox library games yet.
The library adds GeForce NOW, so owned games it supports can be played in the cloud, and Battle.net games now install inside Winhanced. Other additions include cloud saves to Dropbox, OneDrive or another drive, game compression, a Storage page, gyro aiming, full button remapping on the ROG Ally family, MSI Claw and OneXPlayer 3, and Windows updates that wait until you stop playing.

Version 1.0 also adds the OneXPlayer X2, X2 Mini, X2 Mini Pro, Apex, Apex i, OneXFly F1 and F1 Pro. Intel Arc G3 handhelds like the Acer Predator Atlas 8 get power modes using the chip's default limits. For background, AMD has also brought FSR 4.1 to Z2 handhelds officially.
