It's been a while since I've done a case review, especially for the Steam Deck. This one is JSAUX's new dual layer case for the Steam Deck LCD and OLED, sold as the Double-Decker Travel Supply Case. JSAUX didn't really ask for a review, but I thought it was a really nice case, so I figured it was worth a few minutes.
Disclosure: JSAUX sent this case over for me to check out. Whether I buy something or have it sent to me, I review it the same way, with my honest opinions. Take that as you will. The JSAUX link below is an affiliate link, so I may earn a commission if you buy through it.
- A hard, molded case with a plush, form-fit inside and a second layer underneath for a power bank, chargers and wires.
- A cable pass-through lets you charge the Steam Deck from a power bank in the bottom layer, and the cover folds into a kickstand.
- $39.99 for the case, or $85.99 with JSAUX's power bank kit, at the time of the video.
- After a couple of weeks it became my go-to Steam Deck case around the house and office area. For 40 bucks, I think it's really fair.
Unboxing
If you're used to how JSAUX boxes things up, it's fairly simple. The box lists the main features: double layer case, charge-ready design, flip stand cover, shockproof and water resistant. Inside, it's just the case with a little bit of cover on it.

A nice touch: JSAUX put the GameTech Planet name on the front of mine. I haven't had a case sent that way before, and I really appreciate it. That name tag was a custom touch for my unit.

Design and storage
- Hard case, molded to the Steam Deck. It works out really well and keeps things nice and safe.
- Water-resistant felt exterior. The orange piece on top is an air pass-through that helps with a little bit of airflow if you're charging in the case.
- Plush, soft, form-fit inside. The Steam Deck fits really well and super tight, with just enough space to plug in a charging cable. Nothing's going to scratch it.
- Lower layer. Pull the tray up and fold it out of the way, and there's room underneath for a power bank, chargers and other wires.
- Cable pass-through. There are two holes, one on each side, so you can run a charging cable up from the power bank to the Steam Deck. You can move them around or use longer wires if you need to.

Price
At the time of the video, JSAUX's site listed the case for the Steam Deck LCD and OLED at $39.99, or $85.99 with the power bank kit. I have that power bank, and it works really well, so the kit is worth a look if you don't have one yet.

Price check (Oct 25, 2026): JSAUX's store now lists the standard case at $35.99 (marked down from $39.99) and the Power Bank Kit at $85.99. JSAUX says the kit's power bank is its PB6504 20,000mAh model with 65W fast charging. Prices change, so check before you buy.

Using it: charging and the kickstand
I've been using this case for a couple of weeks, and it's worked out really well. With everything covered and Velcroed in, it feels really safe. When charging in the case, I haven't had any problems with thermals. That air vent probably doesn't do a lot, but maybe it helps some.

The kickstand is the part I've used the most. With the Steam Deck plugged into the power bank and propped up, I have my Xbox controller hooked up and can sit there gaming while it charges. If I need to take it with me, I unplug it and go with a full battery. If I'm done playing, I can lay it down, close it up and keep it charging, or unplug it and close it up. It's a versatile, all-in-one setup.

Note: JSAUX's product page recommends opening the front cover and using stand mode while charging for the best heat dissipation, and says charging with the case fully closed isn't recommended. It also says the included USB-C to USB-C cable supports 60W PD charging.
Verdict
It's a pretty versatile, useful case, and I think $40 is really fair for what JSAUX is asking. If you don't already have a power bank and want one, the $85.99 kit is pretty fair as well. It's a good-looking case that does its job well for the Steam Deck OLED or LCD, and it's become my go-to case around the house and office area. I do like the versatility: charging while it's open or closed, the built-in kickstand idea and room for everything underneath. JSAUX put a little thought into this one, and I think a lot of people would find it really useful, especially if you travel a lot. I'll be continuing to use it with my Steam Deck.
